Bay Area Build Collective

Our Mission

To build stronger Bay Area communities by providing local families and children with the spaces, resources, and support they need to flourish.

Our Story

For years, I’ve watched my brother pack up and take his family to South Dakota every summer. They spend their annual trip building vital infrastructure for the Lakota Sioux Native Americans—working with their hands, working side-by-side, and leaving a piece of their hearts with a community in need. Every year, seeing the photos and hearing the stories, I felt a deep sense of respect for that tradition.

It made me ask a simple question: How can I bring that exact same spirit of hands-on, family-led service home to my own community?

I wanted my family to work together to lift up other families right here in the Bay Area. We don't have to travel thousands of miles to find communities that need supportive spaces, resources, and a helping hand. There are neighborhoods just blocks away from us where children lack safe places to play, and families are struggling to keep their homes secure.

That is why we founded Bay Area Build Collective.

Our goal is to take that spirit of grassroots, family-to-family service and apply it locally. By organizing volunteer efforts to restore community facilities, deliver home supplies, and complete minor safety repairs, we are working to ensure our neighbors have the stable environments they need to thrive.

For us, this isn't just about charity; it's about modeling the values of hands-on community care for our children, working with our hands, and building a stronger, more connected Bay Area—one family, and one project, at a time.
